Up on the HaveWind blog today: What 2020 Taught Us. With all of the change and uncertainty it brought to the world, COVID taught us: It is time to make our own future and go.

Ladies day out! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Me and my sailor gal-pal Bridgett (who single-hands a Catalina 42!). When the girls are this cool it’s no boys allowed! 😆 #havewindwilltravel

This crew ... While we've been friends for a while, we bonded during COVID when literally the best thing to do in Pensacola was hop on your boat and go drop the hook. We had raft-ups, dinghy races, wine blowouts, conch contests, and made a thousand unforgettable memories. Then we all suffered Hurricane Sally together. The carnage and chaos in the aftermath. Two of our three boats were lost, but not a sliver of our passion for sailing was taken. We've picked each other up. We put each other in our places, when it's needed, as real friends do. I never dreamed in my adult life I would make such a cool little circle of friends who very much like to do anything but act like an adult. Who does that? And, now we're getting to see them embark on new boats and new chapters with courage, humor, and just the right amount of crazy. To this group: you rock. You just do! ❤️ #havewindwilltravel

Got a question for you. How many times have you started a story with: “Remember that time I did everything right?” Not many, I would assume. The best stories, mine at least, typically start with: “Oh man, remember that time I screwed everything up?” … I’m pretty good at that. But, as my buddy Bob Bitchin wisely reminds me, a screw-up can be one of two things: an adventure or an ordeal. The only thing that moves that toggle switch one way or the other is your attitude. So, in line with the ultimate purpose of this blog—to share the reality (which includes the mistakes) of cruising—let me share this fun little Annie “adventure” with you. Up on the HaveWind blog: my first post-Sally engine crank … FAIL!
