Boat #15: 1939 John Alden Schooner

“When the war is over and if I return,” said General Patton.  This was his boat!  An immaculately-restored 1939 John Alden Schooner, with her very own Captain Seth giving us a tour and telling us his story and plans to sail When and If around the world.  They recently sailed When and If to Cuba (the video up on their website from this sail is stunning) and they are planning to sail her up to Boston for the Sail Boston tall ship show.  Thanks again Seth for the tour and awesome sunset sail on your beautiful boat.  Check out When and If’s sailing schedule and amazing videos at www.sailwhenandif.com.  Hope you all enjoy the tour!

Sail with Us to the Miami Boat Show!

Very exciting video for you here guys.  Our 4th Gift of Cruising will be a five-day offshore adventure sail from Pensacola to Miami with us on s/v Libra to attend the Strictly Sail Miami Boat Show, boat show tickets included.  Super cool, right?  We will depart out  of Pensacola February 10th and sail to the show.  I will be speaking at the show (so you can come heckle me!) and Libra will be IN the boat show so you can come walk the docks, tour her and meet Phillip and I while you are there.  We will give this gift away at the $500 Patron reward level — help us make this happen by becoming a Patron and emailing me to let me know you are available during the passage dates and you want to go on an offshore voyage.  In addition, if you would simply like to go ahead and book this passage to make the trip with us, feel free at SailLibra.com!  We would be excited to have you!  Thank Captain Ryan with SailLibra for this generous donation as well as my many Patrons who make these Gifts of Cruising possible.  Get inspired.  Get on board.

Also, because it is the season of giving, I put together another full-length video for you all on the channel in our Boat Tours section.  It’s my first motor vessel tour!  I didn’t even know Gulfstar made motor yachts, but this one was certainly impressive.  Twin Perkins diesels, a generator, water-maker, 500 gallons of fuel, 250 gallons of water and insane amounts of storage.  Thank Phil for the tour of his 1979 Gulfstar 44, m/v After Five.  I blame all Video Annie comments in the outtakes on the wine he kept feeding me while I was working!  Enjoy the tour!

Boat #10: 1985 Alberg 37 (Rigged Up for Cruising with Kids!)

You may know these two sexy sailors: Jeremiah and Brittany from Lazy Gecko Sailing. Now you’re going to get to know their “sexy boat,” a beautiful, solid, well-built bluewater boat, a 1985 Alberg 37.  Watch as Jeremiah gives you a detailed tour and shows off Brittany’s ingenious below-decks configuration for the kids.  If any of you are hesitant to cruise with children, the Lazy Geckos are hard-core proof it is possible and it can be phenomenal.  Thank you again, Jeremiah and Brittany for putting this awesome boat tour together for us.

Also, catch my video message at the end talking about my 2-hour Atlantic-crossing movie which will be premiering SEP. 22ND on Patreon.  I’m incredibly proud of this piece of work and hope you all will get on board to watch and learn what it truly feels like to cross an ocean on a catamaran.  Get your ticket to view on Patreon.

#3: Tour of Zee Boat – Down Below

Hello HaveWind followers!  Video No. 3 here – a tour of our incredible Niagara 35 below decks.  After some feedback from followers, I embedded each video’s number and name in the intro to (hopefully) avoid confusion.  Every video is different, but the intro is the same.  If you missed any previous videos thinking it was one you had seen before – go back and watch them!  In this one, we had to put Video Annie on probation till she gets herself in order.  Ha!  Enjoy, subscribe and share!

Thanks to my Patrons who help me share the journey.  Get inspired.  Get on board.
